Between plateaus and valleys,
discover this village which has many charms.
Inside the church of the eighteenth centry,
there is a baroque choir which is decorated by
paintings of the nineteenth centry imitating a box ceiling. |
Remnant of a glorious past, the ruins of the chateau of "Garaboeuf" are reflected in the pond's water.
We still mark out the base of three imposing towers.
|
|
In the north of the village,
discover the delightful chapel Saint-Roch,
erected in the seventeenth centry in order to ask
the intercession of the holy facing plague's epidemic.
Nearby flows the beneficial water of the Saint-Roch fountain.
The patron saint is celebrated every year in the 15th and 16th
of August by a party which makes all the village jubilant. |
|
In the south of the common,
the waterfalls of bialet will suggest you a wonderful show :
the water flows out like a silver curtain before it streams between ferns and rocks.
This site is also a point of departure of a pleasant hike;
following the banks of the Vézère you will discover the vestige of an old forge,
the viaduct of the "Gour Noir", the longest bridge of Europe which
has a lonely stone arch, and the viaduct of the motorway A20.
